Sonata-Sonatina Festival

The Sonata-Sonatina Festival sponsored by the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association is a one day event held in December of each year at Sherwood School of Music at Columbia College in Chicago.  Student participants perform two contrasting movements of a sonatina or one movement of a sonata in front of two adjudicators.  Top scores are recognized with medals for their achievements.  Students receiving the highest honor, a gold medal, are featured in a gold medal recital.
